On this week's episode pro boxer, Qadir Hamid, joins host Coach J on The Empire Boxing Podcast. Jana and Qadir take a deep dive into his origin story and talk about how he fell in love with the sport of boxing. Qadir may come across as a quiet individual but behind his humble and low key personality is a fearless fighter with some smooth moves and fast hands in the ring. Qadir boxes out of Quinit Boxing in Vancouver and made his pro debut in July of 2022 on Empire Boxing's last event, RELOADED, where he fought to a controversial draw with a fighter from Mendoza Boxing. On the TAKEOVER, November 12th, Qadir is back to face Elroy Fruto, another Mendoza fighter, and this time Qadir is looking for the win, and maybe a little revenge. Qadir takes us back through his amateur boxing journey, his start in wrestling where he first found his love for competing and how he ended up in Vancouver.
