Mum Life Untangled

Almost one in two (or 50 per cent of) women who have been pregnant will have some kind of prolapse. Your doctor may refer you to a women’s physiotherapist or a doctor who specialises in women’s pelvic floor problems. Todays’ guest Mel Neilse, shares her experience suffering with a prolapse after her third birth and the lack of education and support she was given during her recovery.

Mel is one incredible woman with many hats, living on a rural cattle farm in Australia, Melissa is a mother, teacher & nurse for her family, and with her journey a passion was ignited to help rural women with exercise, especially safe return to exercise postpartum. Today Mel and Emma chat about Mel’s story, her PT business Rural Women’s Exercise and the struggles of accessing women’s health services in rural settings.

I'm Emma, I have always had a passion for fitness and after having my second baby I knew it was time for me to do something for myself, I followed my dream of becoming a personal trainer. I am a certified pre/post natal trainer who works closely with a Women's Health Physiotherapist to ensure women get the best care and support.
I am also a proud member of the MumSafe™ team of fitness professionals who provide safe and effective exercise at every stage of motherhood.
