Riverside Readings

Good Morning, and Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! As we gather around the tree or play with our gifts and toys after opening them on Christmas Eve, let us rejoice that Christmas is here! All the holly and ivy strewn around your house as you decked the halls, the snowmen you decided to make as you had a white Christmas, and all the feelings you have towards what Christmas means to you and your own Christmas traditions.

As I sit and reflect on Christmas and my traditions. It brings memories of laughter, decorating the tree with my Mother, and of course, the unwrapping of presents and the delight to see what Santa brought me. However, one Christmas tradition that has reigned supreme within my family as early as I can remember is that we would sit on Christmas Eve and watch “A Muppets Christmas Carol ''. Though you have known me for voices, this upcoming story will not feature Kermit, Ms.Piggy, Rolhf, Fozzie, or Rizzo. However, I am bringing a classic to your ears by recounting Charles Dickens's “ A Christmas Carol.” Following the story of an old miser named Scrooge, a Christmas story takes us on a journey of remembrance. Not only of the times that have passed, and maybe the times that we have wasted away, but that our lives are more than what our work is.

So let us celebrate, rejoice, and cozy amongst the glow of the fireplace as we journey the river on Riverside Readings - A Dramatic Reading Radio Show hosted by Me, Trent Mylie
