Get to Know Lacey
Lacey is the owner and founder of basic., a slow fashion + ethically-made lifestyle shop based in Birmingham, AL A native to the area, she graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in international trade and Spanish and then returned to Birmingham for a career in finance. While serving as a financial advisor, Lacey launched basic. as a side hustle passion project that eventually shifted into the full-time dream it is today. In addition to basic., Lacey is a small business consultant and freelance e-commerce web designer. She serves on a committee for the Birmingham Museum of Art Contemporaries, Bib & Tucker Sew-Op, and is involved in many initiatives advocating for women's rights, social justice, education, and/or the arts in some form or fashion (get it?).
