The Ole Switcheroo

Alexis watched the first half of the Wolf of Wall Street and Suzy watched the second half so neither of them had to watch the full 3 hours.

If there is one thing you need to know about this movie, it's long. It is exhausting. It isn't quite the inspiration all the online crypto scammers seem to think it is. Though Alexis and Suzy are not in perfect agreement about the value of this movie, they agree to avoid lining the pockets of the man it was based on. By calling him the Wolf of Wall Street, they may have given too much legacy-bending power to a man who they meant to call a predator. The Predator of Wall Street. Not the Role Model of Wall Street. However, the acting in the movie was phenomenal, another amazing performance from DiCaprio who uses the magic of theatre (definitely not drawing on his real life experiences) to portray yet another wealthy, scummy socialite.

Very cool!

In the beginning of this episode, Alexis mentions award-winning podcast The Worst Idea of All Time because their second season involved Sex and the City 2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Worst_Idea_of_All_Time

What is The Ole Switcheroo?

Movies are too long. It’s 2024: watch half and ask a friend to fill you in.
