In this week's episode, Ryan invites Warwick Quinn, CEO of BCITO, back on the podcast to discuss all the details on the government's decision to provide free apprenticeships to anyone wanting to study a trade in New Zealand, and the Apprentice Boost package to help retain skills in the industry. If you're a construction business owner wanting to know how you can get the most out of the subsidy, or a worker who wants to upskill and get qualified, Warwick covers everything you need to know about the schemes including details like what the application process is like, how much money a business is eligible for per apprentice and the refund process for an apprentice that was already paid for.

Warwick joined BCITO in 2016. He is a former chief executive of Motor Trade Association and Registered Master Builders Association. He has also held the positions of General Manager Regulatory in Land Information New Zealand and the statutory positions of Valuer-General and Chief Crown Property Officer. He has also worked in local authorities, multi-national property companies and banks. A registered valuer by profession, Warwick is a past Chair of the Valuers Registration Board and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers and the Property Institute of NZ. He also holds an MBA from Henley Management College in the UK.
