A Pod Named Kickback

This week on A Pod Named Kickback, we’re getting into everything from the WNBA and transgender athletes to the age-old question: when is cutting somebody off protecting your peace, and when does it become toxic or manipulative? We’re talking boundaries, relationships, knowing when enough is enough, and whether everybody deserves another chance.

Then we get into the wildest stories of the week, including the disturbing reports of Black people found hanging from trees, Funky Dineva catching the Don’t Be Dumb Award, and the latest in sports and entertainment—from Russell Westbrook’s retirement and Claressa Shields’ dominant Atlanta victory to Hip-Hop celebrating 53 years. We’ll also talk new Nipsey Hussle music, House of the Dragon, The Chi, Reasonable Doubt, and finish it all off with Eargasm/Netflix & Chill. No filters, no brakes—just another night in the Kickback.

What is A Pod Named Kickback?

I’m No Brakes Nu’, host of A Pod Named Kickback. I spent 20 years as a rapper from DC who has appeared on 106 & Park, MTV’s Direct Effect and became a legend in DC and the DMV for selling my CD’s out of the trunk of my car and making fire music and music videos that watched like short movies. Never forget. I launched my internet radio show in April of 2012. The last few years I switched it to an official podcast and on this podcast I discuss the biggest stories in pop culture, politics, music, sex, and sports. Some weeks I find one idea I’d like to discuss and solely focus on that. 🤷🏾‍♂️ I invite some of the brightest, most engaging and entertaining minds I can find to have these discussions with me on my virtual kickback. Don’t tell anyone but sometimes I invite listeners on the podcast too. I record live at 7PM on Sunday nights on youtube. As I come up on my 12th year of edutaining you I only ask that you subscribe to the vibe and tell a friend to do so as well. #NoBrakes
