On Pentecost Sunday, Pastor Alex Okoh reminded us that after Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was no longer given sparingly, but freely made available to every believer. Preaching from Acts 1 and 2, he challenged us to return to the “Upper Room” posture that ignited the fire of God.
The message highlighted the conditions that attract God’s fire: humility, unity, prayer, and the study of God’s Word. Where pride exists, God’s fire cannot rest, but where believers are aligned in purpose and hunger for Him, God commands His blessing.
We were also reminded of what the fire of God produces: revelation, boldness, power, purification, and victory over the enemy. The same fire that empowered the early church is still available today for those willing to seek God wholeheartedly.
