Nuance - A Faith and Work Podcast

Licensed therapist Andy Blanchard provides a therapeutic perspective on the important distinctions between principles and emotions, helping us to better engage in dialogue with those of different beliefs.

Show Notes

Do you have the courage to stand up for what you believe while maintaining the humility to learn from others? Do your Christian convictions lead you to have empathy to engage respectfully with those whose views differ from your own, otherwise?   It is much easier to verbalize this than it is to live it out in a hostile workplace.

Principled pluralism is a critical component to a flourishing Christian citizenship. It is the idea that we live in a pluralistic society, whether we want to or not, and in the midst of such different perspectives how do we have clear principles upon which we stand. Today in America emotions are high, political opinions are deep, and truth is often blurred making it incredibly more difficult to enjoy our colleagues, bosses, and work teams.

Andy Blanchard, a licensed mental health counselor, helps us to think more clearly about how our emotions inform our words and behavior, and how Jesus would lead us to respond more effectively. Andy’s therapeutic perspective provides insight into making important distinctions between principles and emotions.

What is Nuance - A Faith and Work Podcast?

Nuance is a podcast of The Collaborative helping Christians to faithfully live out their faith in their work. We recognize most of life is not lived in black and white but rather lived in the gray, lived in the nuance.
