From Lama Lekshe:
"A friend recently sent me a few sentences of unattributed writing that made me want to reframe my view of the recent fires. I had reduced my context to the ordinary and I wanted to open again to wider, more inclusive and mystical view that better accords with my practice of Tibetan Buddhism. I wrote this poem as part of a daily poetry writing practice -- and read it aloud at a recent Sunday service at Great Vow Zen Monastery."
Lama Lekshe (Julia King Tamang) has been practicing Tibetan Buddhism since 1994 in Portland, Oregon, Nepal and India.
