We often skip over some of the most important truths in Scripture. In an age of busyness and the tyranny of the urgent, we over "microwave" our Bible reading and miss the rich food of Scripture. In Zechariah 1:3, we come across three English words (translated from two Hebrew words) that change the way we think about Christianity. "Return to me." God doesn't desire merely changed actions and habits; He wants your heart. He wants you to want Him. True repentance is the desire to turn from sin and turn to God Himself (which then overflows in righteous living). To understand the book of Zechariah, we must slow down and unpack this short sentence: "Return to me."
