00:10:29.420 What we just sang together, right? 00:10:29.460 --> 00:10:32.620 The Word of God there for us. 00:10:33.140 --> 00:10:38.420 And this is a passage of Scripture that we see all the time during the Christmas season. 00:10:38.880 --> 00:10:44.680 And we see, and it's in this one verse, we understand the Christmas narrative that's going 00:10:44.680 --> 00:10:50.780 to unfold, but also within this, the work and the embodiment of who Jesus is. 00:10:51.520 --> 00:10:57.780 And we're given the four titles, four titles of Christ, that he's Wonderful Counselor, he's 00:10:57.780 --> chaos and in the confusion that the people in the story that the Bushes 00:20:11.100 --> 00:20:24.580 just read about must have felt as a virgin teenage girl finds out that she's pregnant with the 00:20:24.580 --> 00:20:25.020 Messiah. 00:20:26.160 --> 00:20:30.100 But what flows from that is the peace of the Lord. 00:20:31.300 --> 00:20:38.560 Over 429 times in the Old Testament and in the New Testament, peace is talked about in the 00:20:38.560 --> 00:20:38.760 Bible. 00:20:39.760 --> 00:20:42.660 In the Old Testament, it's a word that you've probably heard. 00:20:42.820 --> 00:20:47.200 The word most commonly used for peace is the word shalom. 00:20:47.740 --> 00:20:51.440 It's a relational peace that is discussed and is talked about in Scripture. 00:20:51.440 --> 00:20:57.640 And it is defined as a peace between people, a peace between nations, but most importantly, 00:20:57.800 --> 00:21:00.440 a peace between God and man. 00:21:01.700 --> 00:21:05.580 The shalom, the peace of God, used as a greeting. 00:21:06.540 --> 00:21:15.200 In the New Testament, most commonly used is the word arene, which is a state of peace, a state 00:21:15.200 --> 00:21:17.840 of rest, a state of tranquility. 00:21:18.640 --> 00:21:23.860 And that in this, what we find, this is the peace that Jesus is. 00:21:24.420 --> 00:21:26.460 This is the peace that's found in him. 00:21:26.660 --> 00:21:28.400 This is the peace that's through him. 00:21:28.620 --> 00:21:35.200 And this peace is why he is the prince of peace, as he embodies all this. 00:21:36.340 --> 00:21:38.060 So how do we
