Nick Norwitz holds a Ph.D. in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics from Oxford University and he’s currently studying at Harvard Medical School. In today’s episode, Nick and Sollozzo dive into their shared journeys of putting Ulcerative Colitis (”UC”) into remission through an animal-based, low carbohydrate diet. The conversation addresses some of the social and physical limitations and psychological struggles of battling an autoimmune disease like Ulcerative Colitis. The disease has been on the rise in young men, so we hope this episode sheds some light on the struggles as well as the possibility to overcome the condition through intentional lifestyle changes.Additional Materials on Nick's work with Dave Feldman: Cohort study: https://academic.oup.com/cdn/article/6/1/nzab144/6446805Lean Mass Hyper-Responders: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fendo.2022.830325/fullNew Case Study - High LDL: https://youtu.be/JSEqIsYBZxU Get full access to The Meat Mafia Podcast at themeatmafiapodcast.substack.com/subscribe
