Inside Groove 165 - Jim Schefcick Goes Home, Larry Trenca Hits The Road

In this heartfelt episode of The Groove, host Tom Baker opens the show by paying tribute to Jim Schefcick, whose passion for Oswego Speedway and supermodified racing led him to Osetek Racing, where he handled PR and marketing.  Schefcick went home to heaven after a courageous 15-month battle with Glioblastoma, an incurable form of brain cancer.

Long-time "super" fan Larry Trenca returns to the show to talk about his road trip to Jennerstown Speedway for the Atlantic Coast Old Timers Big J Vintage Jamboree, where no less than 7 supermodifieds from past eras, including Larry's restored Gioia Baby Ruth car, and over 50 total cars, converged on the Western PA oval for a two-day car show that proved most interesting and full of surprises.

Tom also wraps up the July 19th Oswego Speedway show, discussing Dawson Hawksby's historic win, "Juicebox Josh" Sokolic's return to victory lane, and an emotional triumph for Dan Kapuscinski in the SBS division, which came with an unexpected announcement.
