Shalōm-Eirēnē-Salām

Peace be with you! In this novel program, scholars Raymond Acker (PhD student) and Blaise Webster will take the listener on a lexicographical and thematic journey through the sacred texts underlying the three Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Through a careful study of language and textual form, the podcast seeks to uncover the consistent prophetic voice flowing through the crevices of three great religious traditions that are often at odds with one another. The name of the podcast is the word "peace" in Hebrew, Greek, and Arabic. It is the hope of Acker and Webster that a comparative study of the three Abrahamic scrolls can promote and foster peace, as this type of study did in the days of Al-Andalus.

We hope you enjoy our preview and that you find this podcast edifying, no matter where you find yourself.

This podcast is a production of the Ephesus School Network.
