In this session, Michael and Jeremy Narby discuss the Amazonian perspective on the use of tobacco and Ayahuasca. As an anthropologist, Jeremy has much experience in the rituals, ceremonies, and practices of Shawi and other indigenous tribes of the Amazon basin. They look at the health effects and the dangers of both ayahuasca and tobacco and explore the scientific view in relation to the indigenous animistic perspective on plants, nature, and healing.
