Show Notes
Daniel Jacobs Garage won the 2026 Best European Auto Repair Shop award in Southbury, Connecticut, one of the verified local business awards named by South-South Awards.
Daniel Jacobs Garage repairs Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and Volvo vehicles from a single-bay shop at 1380 Southford Road in Southbury, Connecticut. Dan Jacobs runs the shop as an independent European specialist rather than a general repair counter, working on these seven marques and nothing else. Daniel Jacobs Garage covers brakes, oil changes, suspension, engine repair, electrical diagnostics, heating and air conditioning, transmission service and computer diagnostics, and offers pick-up and drop-off service for customers who cannot bring a car in during shop hours. The shop serves Southbury and the surrounding towns of Woodbury, Middlebury, Oxford, Newtown, Seymour and Beacon Falls, and is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Daniel Jacobs Garage earned this award on brand specialization, pricing position and verified customer standing. The shop names its seven serviced marques — Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and Volvo — and states plainly that an unlisted European car is still worth a call, rather than presenting itself as a generalist that also handles European makes. Daniel Jacobs Garage positions its pricing explicitly against the dealership, describing dealership-level diagnostic work without dealer markup, and backs that with pick-up and drop-off service so a customer is not tied to shop hours to get a car serviced. Customer reviews on the shop's Google Business listing name the owner directly, including one crediting Dan Jacobs with the most honest and best value in Porsche repair, which ties the shop's reputation to an identified person rather than an anonymous storefront.
About the Best European Auto Repair Shop category: An award recognizing the European car specialist that pairs dealership-level diagnostic expertise with transparent, local-shop pricing, giving owners of Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and Volvo vehicles a trustworthy alternative to the dealer service counter.
