Being a Cronenberg film, this movie has the distinct and unique Cronenbergian tone that made him so popular in the first place. Set in the time when technology was rapidly improving and we had no idea where the hell the future was going, we meet Allegra, who is a master game designer testing out her new game with a new group of individuals. But of coarse, being a Cronenberg film, the video game is not something you can buy for your PS2, but instead a hyper virtual reality experience that often blends the lines of what's real and what's not. As you can assume, the more we play the game, the more these lines get blurred
