She shares the deciding moment in law school when she knew she wanted to become a bankruptcy lawyer how she developed her debtor's practice that led her down this rewarding path to becoming a consultant and a receiver which is her favorite role. 

Shelly describes the difference between an insolvency lawyer and an insolvency consultant and the benefits of knowing these differences for non-insolvency lawyers and businesses. She talks about applying her legal and financial background to find common-sense solutions to formulate the right business resolutions for businesses going through transition or facing financial distress.
