सदाचरणमेव जीवनम्

जीवनं नाम किम् इति जिज्ञासुः कश्चन जनः सर्वत्र परिभ्रमन् अरण्यं प्रविष्टवान् । तत्र जीवनविषये पृष्टे सति शुकः, शशः, हरिणः, नदी, वृक्षः, बीजः, उलूकः च स्वाभिप्रायम् प्रकटयन्ति । अनन्तरं तेन कश्चन संन्यासी दृष्टः । ततः ज्ञातवान् यत् केवलम् अन्वेषणेन जीवनं यापयितुम् अवसरः न प्राप्यते । आदौ उत्तमं जीवनं करणीयम् । सदाचरणमेव जीवनम् इति ।

A curious person, wanting to know what life is, wandered everywhere and entered a forest. There, when he asked about life, a parrot, a rabbit, a deer, a river, a tree, a seed, and an owl all shared their opinions. After this, he met a wise sage who explained, that one must lead a good life first instead of simply searching for the life’s meaning. Living a life of virtue is what life truly means.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
