This week on Regional Rasslin, we finish up the Tennessee 1977 Project with Guest Steve Crawford joining Ray Russell on the program. We do a quick overview of the split between Jerry Jarrett and Nick Gulas and then dive into the following years that led up to the demise of Gulas' run as a promoter in 1980. We talk "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Dutch Mantel, Bobby Eaton, early Freebirds Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy, George Gulas, & more! We also look at the final card promoted by Gulas in Nashville, and the first card promoted by Jerry Jarrett when he took over the town. Lots of fun conversation had in this hour-long conversation!

The Regional Rasslin Podcast, where we talk histiry from the Pro Wrestling Territories!
What is Regional Rasslin' - Territory Talk?
Before the national expansion of Pro Wrestling the business was split into many different regional promotions referred to as "the territories". Each territory competed within their own regional boundaries with unqiue wrestling stars, championship belts, and local TV. We talk the good old days from the territory era, from the AWA to JCP, New York to Los Angeles, Memphis to Mid-South, Portland to Florida, Stampede to Maple Leaf, Houston to Dallas, well... you get the point!
