तल्लीनता

कस्मिंश्चित् ग्रामे एकः विद्यालयः आसीत्, यत्र गणितविषयस्य अध्यापकः बहुकष्टं सूत्रं छात्रेभ्यः अयच्छत् । विद्यालयात् बहिः मङ्गलवाद्यध्वनिं श्रुत्वा अध्यापकः कञ्चित् छात्रं घटनां ज्ञातुम् प्रेषयति ।  छात्रः प्रत्यागत्य कथितवान् यत् महाराजः ग्रामं प्रति आगतः इति। अन्ये छात्राः महाराजं द्रष्टुम् इच्छन्तः अध्यापकात् अनुमतिं प्राप्तवन्तः । सर्वे छात्राः महाराजं द्र्ष्टुं गतवन्तः । कक्ष्यायां केवलं एकः छात्रः गणितसमस्यायाः परिहारकार्यं कुर्वन् आसीत् । अध्यापकः तस्य निकटे गत्वा कारणं पृष्टवान्, तदा छात्रः 'गणितसूत्रसमस्यापरिहारे मग्नः अस्मि' इति प्रत्युत्तरं अयच्छत् ।  तस्य वचनं श्रुत्वा अध्यापकः महत् आश्चर्यं प्राप्नोत् ।

In a certain village, there was a school where the mathematics teacher gave a difficult problem to the students. Upon hearing the sound of drums outside the school, the teacher sent a student to find out what was happening. The student returned and informed that the king had arrived in the village. The other students, eager to see the king, sought permission from the teacher and went to see him. Only one student remained in the classroom, working on the math problem. The teacher approached him and asked for the reason. The student replied, ‘I am engrossed in solving the math problem’. Hearing this, the teacher was greatly astonished.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।

It is believed that listeners will appreciate this effort to make these stories available in Sanskrit. These are the first stories to be podcasted in the Sanskrit language within this field.
