[Ep5] Do you ever wonder if the studies you read are actually good? Are they set up for success, or are they riddled with red flags? Maybe you aren't sure about how to even find a research paper. Listen in on this second half of a two part conversation with Senior Statistical Analyst, Lynn Shaffer. We compare and contrast the quality of two research papers - and more - on this episode of High-Fidelity Conversations!
Lynn Shaffer, PhD, is a Senior Statistical Analyst with the Mount Carmel Health System. She works in the Office of Research Affairs to support clinical research and quality improvement projects for the GME residents and faculty . Her expertise includes epidemiology, research and statistical methodology. During part one of our discussion (Episode 4), Lynn proposed a few ways to not only find quality research papers, but also trouble-shoot them. For this second part, we're going to compare the methods and presentation of two different research papers involving synthetic CBD. Listen in on our conversation to hear us break down the good, the bad, and the ugly from each paper. Links to the research paper PDFs can be found below.
