Beef wins the fight for consumer dollars in the meat case.  The horse market has been strong over the past year.  Spring planting is still a couple of months away on the Texas High Plains.  This year’s first case of equine herpes virus has been detected in Hood County.  Equine infectious anemia is also showing up.  A major event in American agriculture is occurring this month.
