Homemade Hand Sanitizer

Homemade Hand Sanitizer

This recipe makes about a cup, but can be doubled, tripled,  or even quadrupled easily.

2/3 cups 99 percent rubbing alcohol 

1/3 cup aloa vera gel

8 to 10 drops essential oil

Mix together and funnel into a pump bottle.

Note:  Oils such as thyme and clove oil have antimicrobial properties, so only use a drop or two because they are very strong and may irritate your skin.

Other oils such as lavender and chamomile have properties that are soothing to the skin.
