विदेशगमने स्पृहा

विदेशगमने स्पृहा जनैः किं किं कारयति इति अनया कथया ज्ञातुं शक्यते । कदाचित् कस्यचन विश्वविद्यालयस्य भौतशास्त्रविभागाय रशियादेशतः एकं निमन्त्रणपत्रम् आगतम् आसीत् । किन्तु तस्य विद्यालयस्य कुलसचिवः तां वार्तां न भौतविभागप्रमुखम् अवदत्, न वा कुलपतिम् । सः कदाचित् सभायां 'रशियादेशस्य विश्वविद्यालयः मां निमन्त्रितवान् अस्ति' इति उद्घोषितवान् । यदा सः देहलीम् अगच्छत् तदा कस्यचन अधिकारिणः मनसि संशयः उत्पन्नः ।  निमन्त्रणपत्रं परिशील्य तस्य गमनं निवारितवान् अधिकारी ।

This story shows what desire for going abroad can make people do. Once, an invitation letter came from Russia to the Physics Department of a university. But the registrar did not inform the head of the department or the vice chancellor. Later, in a meeting, he announced, “A Russian university has invited me.” When he went to Delhi, an official grew suspicious. After checking the invitation letter, the official stopped his travel.

What is बालमोदिनी?
