अहो परिशुद्धिः

कदाचित् राज्ञा सयाजिरावेण विदेशयात्रासमये स्वस्य आप्तसहायकत्वेन परिशुद्धः न्यायाधीशः शिन्देवर्यः नीतः ।  राजा पेरिस्नगरे सुवर्णापणे बहूनि आभरणानि क्रीतवान् इति कारणतः तस्य आपणस्य प्रतिनिधिः आगत्य शिन्देवर्याय उपायनं दातुं प्रयतते, किन्तु शिन्देवर्यः तन्निराकरोति । तर्हि भवतः परिशुद्धं व्यवहारं महाराजं वदामि इति यदा वदति प्रतिनिधिः, तदपि निराकरोति शिन्देवर्यः । तदा साश्चर्येण 'महता धनस्य स्वीकारे अनिच्छा, तस्य प्रकाशने अनास्था च प्रायः भारते एव द्रष्टुं शक्या' इति स्वगतं वदन् ततः निर्गतवान् सः आपणप्रतिनिधिः ।

Once, during a foreign trip, King Sayajirav brought along his trusted assistant, the highly respected judge, Shinde. The king bought many ornaments from a gold shop in Paris. Because of this, the shop representative came to offer a gift to Shinde. However, Shinde rejected it. When the representative said, 'I will inform the king about your honest conduct,' Shinde again rejected it. Surprised, the representative thought to himself, 'Reluctance to accept great wealth and indifference to displaying it is something one can often witness only in India’.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
