So I Will Dance

I’m still underneath the covers

Putting out the flames that

Sting and burn my skin

I’m still hiding in the shadows

Fighting off the ghosts who’ve

Haunted their way in

But somehow in these trials 

and despite these tear-stained cheeks,

I feel like dancing now I feel you here with me

 

So I will dance, I will sing

And I will find a way through everything

I won’t give in, I won’t give up

I’ll still believe in all I’m dreaming of

I still worry for tomorrow

All the things I don’t know

What the future brings

 

I still overthink the details

Trying hard to escape

All the fear within

 

But somehow in these moments 

and despite what leaves me weak,

I feel like dancing when you’re dancing next to me
