Did the CIA arrange—or help promote—the marriage of an American citizen as part of a Cold War intelligence operation?
In The CIA’s Secret Marriage: The Strange Case of Angela Boyer & Petros Moutsos, Dr. Tim Mounce of All Things Unexplained follows a remarkable trail buried in declassified CIA records, FBI files, JFK assassination records, and forgotten newspaper archives.
At the center of the story is Angela Boyer, a young American woman drawn into the Communist underground, and Petros Moutsos, the Greek sailor she fell in love with and married. Then comes the line in the CIA's own records that changes everything: Petros's marriage to Boyer “was promoted in order to improve his position in OENO.”
