प्रकृतिं यान्ति भूतानि

कदाचित् अकबर-बीरबलयोः संवादसमये बीरबलः अवदत् यत् मार्जारस्य शिक्षणं कष्टम् इति । किन्तु अकबरः प्रयत्नेन सर्वं साधयितुं शक्यं इति विचिन्त्य षड् मासान् यावत् षड् मार्जारान् शिक्षितवान् । भोजनसमये तेषां मार्जाराणां मस्तकेषु दीपं‌ संस्थाप्य अकबरः तद्दीपप्रकाशे भोजनं करोति स्म । कदाचित्  स्वीयभोजनसमये बीरबलः समाहूतः । एतत् सर्वं दृष्ट्वा बीरबलः अपि विस्मितः । बीरबलः परेद्युः अपि भोजनसमये अगच्छत् । यदा राज्ञा भोजनम् आरब्धं तदा बीरबलेन एकः मूषकः कोषात् निष्कास्य मुक्तः । तं दृष्ट्वा झटिति सर्वे मार्जाराः उत्प्लुत्य अधावन् ।  प्रकृतिं यान्ति भूतानि निग्रहः किं करिष्यति इत्येतत् सत्यं गीतावचनम् ।

Once, during a conversation between Akbar and Birbal, Birbal remarked that training cats is difficult. Akbar, believing that anything could be achieved with effort, spent six months training six cats. At mealtime, he placed lamps on their heads and dined by their light. One day, Birbal was invited to witness this spectacle and was amazed. The next day, during mealtime, Birbal returned and, at the right moment, released a mouse from a hidden pouch. Upon seeing it, all the cats immediately leapt and ran after it. This event illustrated an important truth from the Bhagavad Gita: "Beings follow their nature; restraint alone cannot change it".

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।

Among these, the children's stories titled “Balamodini” are featured. The series is named “Balamodini” as well. The hallmark of these stories is their short length and simple language. Each story imparts a specific moral lesson. Children’s stories are cherished by everyone, young and old alike. It is believed that listeners will appreciate this effort to make these stories available in Sanskrit. These are the first stories to be podcasted in the Sanskrit language within this field.
