Self Kindness with Pete

Did you know that you can change so much in your life, by changing the story that your are listening to in your own mind?

We each are telling a story every moment of every day in our own mind.  The story is explaining things, other people’s behaviors, what you need to do, making sense of the world around you.  It’s also throwing in critiques, past events, old beliefs in an effort to ward off any “unpleasantries” in your day.  

Thing is, these stories are mostly repetitive and they’re not very inspiring.   They tend to focus on narratives that produce a stress or worry response, or a sense of anger and injustice, or feeling of regrets and missing opportunities and running out of time.

But you can choose again. 
In this episode I will explain the steps for choosing again.
Step one: you’ve already done it, and that is become aware that there is a narrative going on in your head
Step two: decide and choose
Step three: Look for how the choice makes you feel
Step four: follow along until you FEEL that emotional wisdom telling you, “You might want to choose again here.”
