Who You Don't See

If you've ever seen Dua Lipa perform, whether in person or on TV then I'm pretty sure you'll have seen this week's guest - Naomi Scarlett - in action. She has the voice of an angel and spends her days gigging with the likes of Dua, Stormzy and Jorja Smith.

Show Notes

Naomi is a backing vocalist who makes artists like Dua Lipa, Stormzy and Jorja Smith sound as good as they do on stage. She's done world tours, festivals and all the iconic TV performances too; from James Cordon's Late Late Show to Graham Norton.

Over Zoom, we spent time talking about the intensity of a world tour, the art of not overpowering an artists voice and why choreography sessions bring Naomi out in hives!

What is Who You Don't See?

Have you ever wondered how Victoria’s Secret models get runway ready? Thought about what it’s like to be behind the scenes on a Sean Paul music video? Or wanted to know how Little Mix look so good in every photo? If the answer is yes, Who You Don’t See is the podcast for you.

Every week, journalist and presenter, Megan Lawton chats to an industry expert, working behind the stars: from choreographers and hairstylists to personal trainers and makeup artists. The podcast explores what they get up to on a typical day, hears techniques for overcoming nerves and gets the inside scoop on what it’s like to work with some of the biggest names in pop culture.
