Swim Against The Tide

Redemption Roasters isn’t just competing in London’s crowded coffee market - it’s using coffee to help break the cycle of reoffending.

In this episode, MD Toby Bradon explains how the King’s Award-winning business trains people in prison, supports them into meaningful employment and achieved a remarkable zero reoffending rate among its participants last year, compared with a
national average of 42%.

Toby shares the lessons he learned scaling Vue Cinemas across Europe, navigating the cinema industry through Covid and now helping Redemption Roasters enter its next phase of growth.

It’s a fascinating conversation about brave leadership, building a commercially successful business with genuine purpose, and why - in Toby’s words - “profit powers purpose.”
