The ATC Doublecut with Micah Woods

Chris Chase joined me to discuss the types of grass that work in tropical conditions when there is a combination of high temperatures, cloudy weather, and tree shade. We discussed a lot of different grass types.

Show Notes

The post we discussed is https://www.asianturfgrass.com/post/of-trees-turf-and-tournament-golf/, which considers which grasses work well in conditions of cloudy weather combined with tree shade. In particular, we discuss manilagrass (Zoysia matrella) and tropical carpetgrass (Axonopus compressus).

I also mentioned Tyler Carr's zoysia grow-in experiments at the University of Tennessee, which can be seen in this video: https://youtu.be/oNw9fPqm6YY

What is The ATC Doublecut with Micah Woods?

I discuss ATC blog posts, with supplementary information, stories, and the reasons why I thought the topic was worth writing about, and worth reading about. Thus, a doublecut of these topics. This covers grass selection, playability, and all the work done to create a certain type of turfgrass surface.
