As Dolly Parton once said, “Find out who you are and do it on purpose, with purpose” and over the course of this week’s episode it becomes 100% obvious that Dolly was a self-assured, intelligent woman of her word.
Join Aileen & Nicole as they have a rootin’ tootin’ boot scootin’ good time celebrating the life and work of the beloved legend of sight and sound, Miss Dolly Rebecca Parton. They cover two of her early acting roles, Doralee in 9 to 5 and Miss Mona in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and get down to the nitty gritty of what it means to be a working woman in a variety of environments. They not only found links between the movies featured but some revelatory connections to past discussions. Pretty darn cool!
Of course, there are new games and activities that highlight Dolly’s genuinely good heart, plus the usual opening check-in and ending Blimpets so stay tuned in to hear all about everyone’s favorite things of the week.
And finally, in Big Announcement territory - Hear Me Out will be guesting on our best pod pal’s show, Fun With Horror!! The episode is being recorded as you read this (!) and the drop date should be announced by the time HMO’s Tim Curry tribute episode is released in two weeks. How exciting!!
