Gosia and I worked together in the ITSM project for DG TAXUD at the European Commission in the last 5 years.
The ITSM project is concerned with operating the central applications for CUSTOMS, TAXATION, and EXCISE in order to facilitate the trade and the implementation of the EC policies across Europe.
It is a large project.
Can you fit 5 years of the ITSM2 project in one hour or so?
It turns out that yes, you can.
What you are about to here is Gosia Witkowska’s story about herself and this project.
We planned for less than one hour, but we took around an hour and twenty minutes.
I promise that you won’t get bored, not even for a minute.
You will find about Gosia’s origins, how here passion for IT was born, her first job, how she got into IBM and what she did for the Wroclaw delivery center, when and how she got in the ITSM, the way she started and left the project and what future holds for her and for the IT industry.
