In early 2023, a request went out in the UVic Inclusive Christians Club Discord channel: what could be a good church sign to put up that is Queer-affirming? Marc Allen replied with the idea "God they/them, Jesus he/him, Holy Spirit she/her." The sign was quickly picked up by online inclusive Christian channels and went viral, and eventually caught the attention of fundamentalists. Boston and Lyndon interview Marc about his reasoning behind the chosen pronouns, and how he feels about the sign going viral.

What is Let's Talk Faith and Justice?

Let's Talk Faith and Justice is a podcast hosted by Boston Laferté, a current JD/JID and MDiv student, and Lyndon Sayers, co-pastor of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Victoria and a spiritual care provider with UVic Multifaith.

The podcast explores topics of faith through the lens of justice, and topics of justice through the lens of faith. Both the hosts and guests bring their own unique life experiences and faith journeys to explore how the sometimes-conflicting worlds of faith and justice can intersect in deep and life-giving ways.
