King's People Church

Life has a way of pulling us off course, and without a clear foundation in the gospel, we drift further than we realize. Ephesians 2 gives us four anchoring truths: Jesus is perfect, we were dead in sin, Jesus saved us, and He redeems us for a purpose. None of us can perform our way into God's presence, and none of us measure up when compared to Christ. But that is exactly the point. God, compelled by love and rich in mercy, acted on our behalf even when we were spiritually dead. Grace is undeserved, unearned, and freely given. You are His workmanship, created with intention, and He has never lost sight of who He made you to be.

What is King's People Church?

“Look at the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.” - John 1:29.

God has called us to our region to be a people devoted to Him. We look at Him, He comes, and the world sees His glory. When we gather in worship we see Him as the One Who comes and inhabits the praises of His people. When we pray we see Him who meets with the ones gathered in His Name. When we proclaim the gospel we see Jesus as the exalted Christ Crucified. When we live in community with each other we see Him as the One revealed through His Body.

And this will continue to be our call, in the season to come, until all see Jesus. Until all see Jesus in Ames, in our region, and in the world.

Until all see Jesus in His beauty on the college campus through Chi Alpha. Until all see Jesus amongst the next generation through King's Kids and King's Youth. Until all see Jesus in our region through outreach and discipleship in Jesus School. Until all see Jesus amongst adults thru King's Mission and King's Way. Until all see Jesus through worship, art, and media and the Creative Team. Until all see Jesus amongst the nations and our giving and going in world missions.

This is why we exist. That all may see Jesus. We will look at Him, He will come, and the World will see Him!

We all are beholding the glory of the Lord and being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory. - 2 Corinthians 3:18
