Ep. 123 - A Light Has Dawned!

Join hosts Katy Reed Hodges, Ryan Chandler, and Dr. Dennis Wiles for a lively and heartfelt episode as they explore the powerful message behind Isaiah 9:1-7 and Dr. Wiles' recent sermon, "A Light Has Dawned!"

In this episode, the team dives into the historical context of King Ahaz's reign, a time of deep darkness and uncertainty for Judah, and how God’s extraordinary promise of a child brought hope to His people. They'll unpack the incredible names given to the Messiah—Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace—and what they mean for us today.

With a fun holiday spirit woven throughout, the conversation also reflects on the joy of Christmas as a reminder of God’s faithfulness, the dawning of His light in our world, and the hope we have for the future. Whether you're navigating the holiday chaos or looking for a deeper understanding of the Christmas story, this episode will inspire and encourage you.

What is Tell Me More?

Tell Me More is a weekly podcast hosted by Katy Reed Hodges and Luke Stehr, where they unpack the Sunday sermon with Dr. Dennis Wiles. This podcast is designed on the premise that Dr. Wiles always has more to say than can fit in a 35 minute sermon - so we have fun discussing it here each week. We hope that in listening you are educated, encouraged and more connected to the pastor and his teaching!
