We kick off our next Regional Rasslin' excursion by diving into 1986 in Bill Watts' UWF Promotion! Host Ray Russell is joined by special guest Roman Gomez as they set the stage for 86 by looking back at all the stars, angles, and champions coming out of the Mid-South in 1985. SPECIAL NOTE: We originally had an interview scheduled to drop with former ROH Owner Cary Silkin as part of Episode #4 of Regional Rasslin', but after the untimely passing of Jay Briscoe we felt it would be in poor taste to post the interview this week. Our interview with Cary will now drop as part of Episode #5.

What is Regional Rasslin' - Territory Talk?
Before the national expansion of Pro Wrestling the business was split into many different regional promotions referred to as "the territories". Each territory competed within their own regional boundaries with unqiue wrestling stars, championship belts, and local TV. We talk the good old days from the territory era, from the AWA to JCP, New York to Los Angeles, Memphis to Mid-South, Portland to Florida, Stampede to Maple Leaf, Houston to Dallas, well... you get the point!
