Today on Art Beat, we take a peek back into the 18th annual Frozen River Film Festival and discuss a local film Minnesota Mean with local filmmaker, Dawn Mikkelson. Minnesota Mean is a documentary showcasing the thrilling world of roller derby following a group of strong women. The Frozen River Film Festival is a yearly recurring event showcasing many local filmmakers focusing on community-based documentaries.
