In 1 Timothy 1:1–11, Paul instructs Timothy to confront false teaching and guard the gospel within the church at Ephesus. Pastor Caleb Cole explains why sound doctrine matters, how speculation and hidden knowledge can distract believers from Scripture, and why Christians must carefully evaluate what they hear against the Word of God. Real love protects what saves, and Jesus is the only one who can save.
Guarding the gospel is not about winning arguments or correcting people from a place of pride. Correction must come from a pure heart, a good conscience, sincere faith, and genuine love. This message also explores the proper purpose of the law, the grace that saves us through faith in Jesus, and the responsibility every believer has to share the good news that transforms hearts, families, and lives.

Caleb Cole
Caleb, a Sacramento native, grew up in a pastor’s home and is a third generation minister. At the age of 12, after one of his grandfather’s sermons, he felt a call from God to be a pastor. He consistently pursued that call throughout high school and college. Caleb attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO where he earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies and went on to the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary where he earned an M.A. in Theological Studies.
