विनयः महात्मनः

कदाचित् कश्चन आधुनिकः तरुणः रेलयाने महाभारतपुस्तकं पठितवन्तं कञ्चन सहयात्रिकम् अपश्यत् । वैज्ञानिकयुगे अपि एतादृशं पठ्यते किम् इति तरुणः सहायात्रिकम् अपृच्छत् । तदा सहायात्रिकः 'महाभारतादिषु प्रतिपादितानि तत्त्वानि अद्यापि सङ्गतानि भवन्ति' इत्यवदत् । तथापि सः तरुणः विज्ञानस्य महत्त्वं, विज्ञानकारणतः जातानाम् आविष्काराणां विषये कथनम् अनुवर्तितवान् । यदा उभौ अपि यानात् अवतीर्णवन्तौ तदा परस्परं सङ्केतपत्रस्य विनिमयं कृतवन्तौ । सहयात्रिकस्य पत्रे लिखितम् आसीत् - ‘सर् सि वि रामन्, डैरेक्टर्, इण्डियन् अकाडमी आफ् सैन्स्’ इति । तत् पठित्वा सः तरुणः तत्रैव रामन्वर्यं साष्टाङ्गं नमस्कृत्य स्वस्य अनुचितव्यवाहारार्थं क्षमां याचितवान् ।

A young man on a train mocked a fellow passenger for reading the Mahābhārata in the scientific age. The passenger replied that “The principles taught in the Mahābhārata remain relevant even today”. Yet the youth continued speaking about the importance of science and its inventions. Later, when they alighted from the train and exchanged cards, the youth discovered the passenger was Sir C. V. Raman, a renowned scientist. Ashamed, he bowed and apologized.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
