Austin Dillon owns and operates his farm
Counter Culture Farms in Nacogdoches, Texas. We first came across Austin at the
What Good Shall I Do conference at Roam Ranch, and his message stunned, not only us but everyone in the room. He had our attention. What we heard from Austin that day was a young man with conviction, purpose, and a mission. He spoke about the process of regenerating his land for the last 15 years, and the real difference between plant-based agriculture and animal-based agriculture.
Austin then dove deep into the connection between death and life. He explained the process of handling & experiencing death, saying:
"Death is so negative in our minds, but it's just another cultivator for life in nature". When he said this, the entire room stood still. What a perfect articulation of the beautiful balance between life and death. There is not one without the other. Once we heard, Austin speak at the What Good Shall I Do Conference in April, it was clear that we needed to get him on the show. It took us longer than we wanted to, but we went out to visit Austin at his property this past December. We recorded a show with him and toured his property and, man, he is even more impressive than we remembered! Please enjoy this conversation with him and let us know what you think!
