What's good for workers is always essential.

Show Notes

What's good for workers is always essential.

At the height of the pandemic, the already pre-existing inequities and discrimination that were in play were exposed during the Covid crisis.

In this episode, Sabrina travels to South Fallsburg in Sullivan County, NY, and then joins the caravan that visited factories and farms to show solidarity for migrant workers suffering even more during this time.

In this episode, we meet some of our neighbors who took to the streets to support Latinx farmworkers in Sullivan County who were the community members testing positive for Covid at the highest numbers because of unacceptable working conditions.

What is WJFF - Trailer Talk?

Sabrina Artel's Trailer Talk is a combination of live performance, community event and radio broadcast based in the New York's Catskills region. With her vintage 1965 Beeline travel trailer, Sabrina Arteltravels to festivals and events where she invites individuals to participate in what she calls a "public conversation" in a relaxed and comfortable setting. These conversations are broadcast live through speakers mounted outside the trailer, and many interviews are later aired on WJFF during the weekly program. The New York Times described Sabrina Artel's Trailer Talk as "an unusual blend of theater, activism and broadcast journalism."
