FOUNDED.

In this episode we listen to Thomas, CEO of everox. Thomas was appointed CEO and became the company's first employee back when everox was still a university spin-off. Thomas left a comfortable role to pursue a more impactful path, moving from environmental strategy into the cement industry. In this conversation, he shares the realities of early-stage company building - repeating pitches, hiring a team, and shaping the culture - alongside the freedom, ownership, and responsibility that come with it.

Jagoda Albin
Jagoda Albin is a Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist who believes stories are one of the most powerful forces in business. She co-founded a startup in year one of university, which later got backed by Europe’s top accelerator. That sparked a passion for building, but also for helping others grow. She went on to lead marketing at a student startup incubator, and eventually joined Up!Rotterdam, where she now works on strategy, connects founders with opportunities and makes sure their stories reach the right people. This podcast is everything she loves in one place: having real conversations with the people behind bold ideas while amplifying the stories of businesses that are shaping the world around us.
Guest
Thomas Petithuguenin
Thomas Petithuguenin is a CEO and Entrepreneur who believes that already existing materials can be reused to build our future. After years in corporate environments, Thomas observed that many of the most promising ideas never make it past the ideation phase. Rather than staying within structured systems, he chose to step into uncertainty and take ownership of execution. As CEO of everox, he is now working to transform the concrete industry from an extractive to a circular model. For Thomas, the true value of entrepreneurship lies in autonomy and impact, in having the freedom to build, decide, and move ideas forward. His journey reflects a deliberate choice: to leave comfort behind in pursuit of meaningful, tangible change.
