Around 1980, people around the world began speaking of "human flourishing." In 2000, the frequency of the phrase's use in media flourished exponentially. Be suspicious of new words and phrases taking the world by storm. As Chesterton said, before you take a fence down you must determine why it was erected in the first place. New words and phrases often arise to replace and relegate truths that are no longer deemed to be kind or helpful.
