Chronicles

Immerse: Chronicles is the sixth and final installment in Immerse: The Bible Reading Experience. Chronicles contains the remaining First Testament Books: Chronicles–Ezra–Nehemiah, Esther, and Daniel. These works were all written after the Jewish people fell under the control of foreign empires and were scattered among the nations. They remind God’s chastened people of their identity and calling to faithfully represent God to the nations and that there is still hope for the struggling dynasty of David.

4 Questions to get your conversations started:
1. What stood out to you this week?
2. Was there anything confusing or troubling?
3. Did anything make you think differently about God?
4. How might this change the way we live?

QUICK START GUIDE
3 ways to get the most out of your experience
  1. Use Immerse: Beginnings instead of your regular chapter and verse Bible. This special reader’s edition restores the Bible to its natural simplicity and beauty by removing chapter and verse numbers and other historical additions. Letters look like letters, songs look like songs, and the original literary structures are visible in each book.
  2. Commit to making this a community experience. Immerse is designed for groups to encounter large portions of the Bible together
for 8 weeks–more like a book club, less like a Bible study. By meeting every week in small groups and discussing what you read in open,
honest conversations, you and your community can come together to be transformed through an authentic experience with the Scriptures.
  3. Aim to understand the big story. Read through “The Stories and the Story” (p. 483) to see how the books of the Bible work together to tell God’s story of his creation’s restoration. As you read through Immerse: Beginnings, rather than ask, “How do I fit God into my busy life?” begin asking, “How can I join in God’s great plan by living out my part in his story?”

The descendants of Shawl

Beth Bery and Shea Rayham.

These towns were under their control
until the time of King David.

Their descendants also lived
in eam, a RI token, and Asian

five towns and their surrounding

These were the names of some of the
leaders of Simeon's wealthy clans.

Their families grew and they
traveled to the region of RA in the

east part of the valley, seeking
pasture land for their flocks.

They found lush pastures there, and the
land was spacious, quiet, and peaceful.

Some of ham's descendants had been
living in that region, but during the

reign of King Hezekiah of Judah, These
leaders of Simeon invaded the region and

completely destroyed the homes of the
descendants of ham and of the me unites.

No trace of them remains today.

They killed everyone who lived there
and took the land for themselves

because they wanted its good
pasture land for their flocks.

500 of these invaders from the
tribe of Simeon went to Mount Sr.

Led by Aya Niah Rapa.

And ael all sons of Isha.

They destroyed the few Amalekites
who had survived and they

have lived there ever since.

The oldest son of Israel was Ruben,
but since he dishonored his father

by sleeping with one of his father's
concubines, his birthright was given

to the sons of his brother Joseph.

For this reason, Ruben is not
listed in the genealogical

records as the firstborn son.

The descendants of Judah became
the most powerful tribe and

provided a ruler for the nation.

But the birthright belonged to Joseph.

The sons of Ruben, the oldest

The descendants of Joel

Ja, the leader, Zechariah and Bah,
son of Zas, son of Shima, son of Joel.

The Reubenites lived in the area that
stretches from a rower to Nebo and Ian.

And since they had so many livestock
in the land of Gilead, they spread

east toward the edge of the desert
that stretches to the Euphrates River.

During the rain of Saul, the Reubenites
defeated the hag rites in battle.

Then they moved into the Hag
Rite settlements all along

the eastern edge of Gilead.

Next to the Reubenites, the
descendants of God lived in the

land of Bay as far east as Sica.

Joel was the leader in the land
of Bayesian, and Shaham was

second in command, followed by Jay
Nai and Shafak their relatives.

The leaders of seven other
clans were Michael, Ms.

Shula, Shiba, Jora, JN, Zah, and Iber.

These were all descendants of Aha.

Son of Hurray, son of Jah,
son of Gilead, son of Michael.

Son of Jess, shisha.

Son of Jado, son of Buzz,
AHAI, son of Abdi, son of Una

was the leader of their clans.

The Gadites lived in the land of Gilead
invasion and its villages, and throughout

all the pastoral lands of Cher, Sharon.

All of these were listed in
the genealogical records during

the days of King Jotham of
Judah and King Jarbo of Israel.

There were 44,760 capable warriors
in the armies of Ruben Gad

and the Half Tribe of Manasa.

They were all skilled in combat and
armed with shields, swords, and bows.

They waged war against the ha
hag rights, the derite, the Nefa

Shiites, and the Nota bytes.

They cried out to God during the
battle, and he answered their

prayer because they trusted in him.

So the hag rights and all
their allies were defeated.

The plunder taken from the hag rights
included 50,000 camels, 250,000 sheep and

goats, 2000 donkeys, and 100,000 captives.

Many of the hag rights were
killed in the battle because

God was fighting against them.

The people of Ruben Gad and
Manasa lived in their land until

they were taken into exile.

The half Tribe of Manasa was very large
and spread through the land from Basian to

Baal, Hermann Seir and Mount Herman, these
were the leaders of their clans, EER,

Isha, IL, Israel, Jeremiah, Hova, and J.

These men had a great reputation as
mighty warriors and leaders of their

clans, but these tribes were unfaithful
to the God of their ancestors.

They worshiped the gods of the
nations that God had destroyed.

So the God of Israel caused King Paul
of Assyria, also known as Tig Lath.

Pizzer, to invade the land and take
away the people of Ruben Gad and the

Half Tribe of Manasses as captives.

The Assyrians exiled them to Hala,
Habor, Hera, and the Goza River

where they remain to this day.
