Equity markets fell yesterday but there was positive news later on when Alphabet, Microsoft and Texas Instruments all reported double-digit quarterly revenue growth for the second quarter. Australia’s Q2 CPI was lower than expected and this resulted in investors abandoning their bets for a 75 bps hike by the Reserve Bank of Australia next week.
