Abuse affects more people than we think—1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men. What does God say about the topic?
Pastor Mike is joined by Amber Albee Swenson, one of our Time of Grace bloggers and writers, as they talk about the upcoming TV message series, "Abuse: What Does God Say?" Pastor Mike and Amber look at the need to talk about this topic in church, the definition of abuse, what happens if you have been abused by church leaders, and where God is in all of this.
The first message from this three-part series will air Sunday, May 16.
If you or someone you know is suffering from abuse, please go to timeofgrace.org/abuse to find more resources and information for getting help.
Pastor Mike and Amber also talk about Pastor Mike's new book, "How to Heal," which addresses what God says to the abused, the abusive, and the church that's called to minister to both. The book is available now at timeofgrace.org.
Amber will also continue the conversation on her podcast, "Little Things." On Sunday, May 23, Amber will talk with Michelle Markgraf, the director of family support services for Kingdom Workers, about her experience of working with abuse victims. Tune in to that episode! Just search "Little Things" on your favorite podcast app.
